Video games has truly become a complete entertainment system. From its humble roots of single player 8-bit games to the now complex and multiplayer high definition games. Microsoft's Xbox 360 is one of the contemporary gaming console that allows multiplayer fun with people just beside you at your couch or from countries away through online connectivity.

There once was a time when it was all just me but after having my first contemporary console (xbox 360) last year. I have been enjoying various local (splitscreen) and online (xbox live) multiplayer games. It started with Borderlands as I finished the entire game with a friend though its co-op story campaign. From then on, I purchased various xbox live arcade titles like Raskulls, Bomberman Live Battlefest, Sonic and Sega All Star Racing, and Toy Soldiers. At first here wer only two players but as times passed, it seems like it was not enough as games like Raskulls, Bomberman Live Battlefest and Sonic and Sega All Star Racing offered four player splitscreen fun. From two controllers, to three and finally to four. Since my brother and sister isn't usally home to play multiplayer games with me, I usually invite former classmates and friends over to share the fun brought by multiplayer games. The latest multiplayer game that I purchased is Blur, a brawler type racing game ala Maro Kart but with signature cars. Eventually the fun stops when everyone must eventually go home and work again, but luckily Xbox Live got me covered. This is probably the main selling point of xbox live gold membership, online connectivity. I am ale to race with gamers from all parts of the globe thanks to my gold membership.

I still enjoy playing single player games, but there is no doubt that having someone to play with is far better than playing by yourself.
