Chris' dad, David Staniforth has now launched a campaign that warns other parents of the dangers of letting you children indulge in computer games for long times. Games are fun it's hard to stop once you started. He told the media that kids all over the country are playing these games for long periods not realizing it could kill them.

Other reports say that there are gamers collapsing after spending 15 hours straight in front of video game which are fairly common throughout Asia. Some 6 years ago, a South Korean gamer died after playing online games for 3 straight days without taking a break, fatigue and lack of sleep might have been the cause.

A 13-year old girl has also died suffering a heart attack while playing on her Xbox. Same as Chris Staniforth, Anna-Lee Kehoe had been spending long hours in her games during the summer holidays. The girl is in perfectly good health condition although she is suffering from asthma. The doctors declared her brain-dead after a few days she was brought to the hospital due to lack of oxygen to her brain. The family decided to turn the life support off. They are now waiting for the results of the autopsy so we can't really say that it's because of Xbox by this time.

As for Microsoft, which makes the addictive Xbox, they've told media that they have always encouraging responsible game play through their campaigns like the "Play Smart, Play Safe," recommending that their gamers should take breaks to exercise and as well as to allocate time for other important things.
