I remember my younger days, a time when video games dominated most of my time. I often stay long hours in front of a game and most of them time it even eat my time for sleep. It was fun thought but after long hours without breaks feels like your exhausted and you needed a break. I didn't know that what I have been doing could be dangerous and could even lead to fatality. Recently, an aspiring computer programmer died from playing online computer games for long hours. His family is now on an awareness campaign to spread the word about the risks that the kids of this generation could be facing. Investigations revealed that Chris Staniforth, 20,was killed by a pulmonary embolism, which usually happens if someone sits in the same position for several hours. Deep vein thrombosis is also seen as one of the causes of his death. It normally affects economy class passengers on long-haul flights. Medical experts fear youngsters who spend hours in front of their consoles might also be at risk and have urged them to take regular breaks.BBC News reported that the coroner who handled Chris’ autopsy stated the blood clot formed in his left calf before traveling to his lungs. Experts on blood-related conditions told media that it is "unhealthy" for youngsters to spend long periods in front of their consoles. Aside from the fatal risk, the anxiety about being obesity when the children are not doing anything other than looking at computer screens. The young man could have been a part of the gaming industry and were offered to study Game Design at Leicester University.According to his father - David, the death of his son could have been triggered by his habit of playing.
